Reviews From My beloved students:
Thank you one and all !!

I've had all kinds of teachers on many subject over my 64 years and no one comes close to Mark. He is the most knowledgeable, patient and intuitive educator in metro-Atlanta. I learned more each week in an hour from him than months with others.
I've had to take a hiatus for some substantial surgery, but I'll be back! He makes learning fun- even for an old man.
Before I started lessons last year, I was looking at rave reviews on his website and someone pegged him as the "best guitarist never to have joined in a band." I'd disagree -yes he's an excellent guitarist, but more than that, he is one of those rare people that lives his passion ...to teach others.

At 56 I started to learn the Guitar..Finally! A Young Man at the Guitar Center told me all about Mark, and how good he was. That's all I needed to hear, and after one year I'm coming along nicely. He makes playing first of all FUN, and he takes away the frustration, which can make you want to stop! Excellent learning atmosphere is a Major Plus in my book. Us Bucket List Folks need all the help we can get, and believe me....it's well worth every second. He talks about playing the RIGHT way.....No short cuts with Mark!!! And when he tells you to practice, that is solely up to you. Very cool and easy flowing personality which is a Super Major Plus!!!! Thanks Mark, I'll be able to play my own Originals very soon! See you Next Week!!!!

Best Lessons Available!
Mark is seriously the best teacher I've ever met. I've been playing for 5-6 years, and I can still learn from him. He can teach you any music style, and at any level. If there's a song you want to learn, bring the song (if for some reason he doesn't have it in his huge collection) and he can teach you in minutes. I have learned so much from him. He also can teach you music theory, and is a great help when you're buying guitars or guitar products. he guided me to the best guitar and multi-effects unit for what I was looking for and for what was in my budget. I've used his tracking system to record several demo cd's and I can't tell you how helpful that's been. He's helped me really become a much better player and musician and I've really enjoyed learning form him for a year or so now. Look no further for the best lessons!

I can't imagine a better teacher than Mark. Mark has encyclopedic knowledge of every aspect of music. Mark lets you decide what you want to learn and lets you go at your own pace. I have been taking guitar for a little over 6 months now and couldn't be more satisfied. Mark has taught me theory, proper technique, guitar tips and tricks, amp set up and any song I have ask him to teach me. He has also set-up three of my guitars at no extra charge.

Couldn't Ask For More.
Mark is an amazing guy who can teach you just about anything you want to know. Not only is he an exceptional guitar teacher, but he is extremely knowledgeable on a very broad range of topics. He does not give you some gimmicky plan of teaching you how to play a guitar; he lets you learn what you want to learn, and he teaches it to you at your own pace. It's just nice to have so many options with him. If I want to take a week off from guitar and work on drums or some music theory, it's no problem. You can't ask for a better value in music education, or a more pleasurable experience.

My son is doing great!
Mark has worked with my son for several months and has taught him the in's and out's of playing the electric guitar. After only a few lessons, he was playing the beginning parts to many songs I know. With a little practice, he was able to play well enough that we could identify every song he played. Mark is so patient and works very well with kids. We are glad to have found someone with so much talent and experience who is also a good teacher.

Talented teacher.
Mark is an extremely talented musician and fantastic instructor. He is capable of playing any genre of music. Mark has great patience with his students. His studio is a comfortable place to learn. I am a beginning student who has been learning from Mark for several months. His attitude and demeanor simply tell of a person who LOVES what he does. I highly recommend trying him out, especially since it doesn't cost a thing for the first lesson.

I am a current student who cannot say enough good things about Mark. Endlessly patient, great demeanor, and fine studio. Mark is also an exceptional musician, with the ability to play any genre of music. Great for beginners and vets. I highly recommend giving him a shot and the first lesson won't cost a thing.

The Best!
Mark is a great teacher, I walked into his door 11 months ago with a brand new Epiphone LP Standard at 30 years old and not a clue what I was doing with a guitar in my hand at that age. He was patient reassuring and exceptional. He fixed some fret buzz on my guitar and lowered the strings and raised the pickups. The sound was amazing after he tweaked it on my first day which was a free lesson! You won't find that anywhere else. Now fast forward 11 months and I'm comfortable with my guitar and even wrote my first song the other day after learning theory and how to play all from Mark. I highly recommend him as his prices are reasonable and he's very knowledgeable. I doubt I would have stuck with it this long had I not had the assistance from Mark. I'm married and working full time and have a lot of responsibilities and I've found that Mark is very accommodating to my schedule. I'd give him four thumbs up if I had two more hands! But then again if I had two more hands, I'd be playing a double neck guitar. \m/ (-_-) \m/

Mark is the real deal!
I took lessons from Mark for 3 years and feel like I really lucked out by finding a great local teacher. His lessons gave me a strong foundation for a career in music and allowed me to advance in my playing quickly and diligently. Mark has an awesome personality and is incredibly knowledgable about music. He will help you make sense of the most difficult concepts. He could, as he says, "train a monkey to play the guitar" if he had to.

Go See Mark!
I have been honing up on my guitar skills with Mark at the helm for almost a year now and I have been exceptionally pleased with the results. I have tinkered with guitar for over 40 years and have played with numerous bands but I wanted to know more about the advanced concepts and finer points of both guitar and bass. Mark Swinson is the perfect instructor for my needs as he tailors his instruction to student need and desire and not some rigid A to Z curriculum. I have seen Mark work with the youngest beginners, the teen rockers, and old guys like me and he is great with all of them. If you do not have a guitar instructor and want one, go see Mark.
